Located in a stand of hardwoods that look amazing in all seasons. We’re on County Road P, so you can get to us on your wheeler in the spring, summer & fall. In winter, sleds can easily get from the snowmobile trail to our parking lot. Or, you can just get here by car any time of the year!

About Us

Our history makes us vintage. Our vibe is pure dive.

The old timers tell us that the Gravel Pit Tavern was born of necessity. The original part of the bar was built in the Town of Maple, but when residents had the crazy notion to vote themselves dry in the 1930s, the bar's owners and patrons could not let that decision stand. They had the bar picked up and relocated to an old gravel pit in the neighboring (non-dry) town. And, the party continued until today.

Over the years, the Gravel Pit grew section by section to accommodate the fun demanded by the surrounding community. The newest owners, Troy and Dede Paquette, added the kitchen make the Gravel Pit Tavern a party one-stop-shop. Because what's beer without a pizza or a burger to complete it?
